Hon. Ian Bain
Ian served as a member of Redwood City’s city council from 2003-2020, including terms as Mayor and Vice Mayor. During that time, he was known as a leading voice for government transparency, a strong supporter of local businesses and a champion for the average citizen.
He is a life-long Bay Area resident who grew up on the Peninsula, attended local public schools and graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Political Science. In addition to serving in the civic sector, Ian runs corporate communications for a global technology company.
