A professional engineer in Arizona and California, Lee Taubeneck brings a passion and intellect to transportation logistics at Manzanita Works, fluent in the challenges commuters face across the Northern California megaregion, whether by bicycle, train, shuttle, bus, carpool, SOV, or van. As a past Deputy Planning Director with Caltrans (Oakland), Lee is very familiar with the 26 transit districts and the nine Congestion Management Agencies in the SF Bay Area as well as state and federal transportation regulatory bodies. Lee is a past board member for the SF Bay Trail, a former Santa Clara County Roads Commissioner, and enjoys e-bike mechanics.
"These days a commuter's tool kit is broad, but not necessarily heavy. Transit, casual carpooling, shuttles, bicycles, and scooters are in there - to mention a few. All of these lighten the burden of driving solo. I am excited about contributing to Manzanita Works’ advance planning and networking approach.”
